A lecturer at the University of Ilorin, identified as Dr. Mohammed Sani Idiagbon, has been relieved of his duties as the head of Department of English over allegations of sexual harassment.
Idiagbon's advances towards a female student became public knowledge when an audio tape secretly recorded by the undergraduate got leaked to the press.
The lecturer had invited the student to his office to seduce her into being his lover not knowing she was recording every conversation they had.
According to Sahara Reporters, the female student, simply identified as Faith, had gone to Idiagbon’s office to plead on a test she missed. In the audio clip, Faith could be heard telling the lecturer “I don’t like it” after Idiagbon allegedly touched her and told her to give him something to suck.
He, thereafter, sent her out of the office after she expressed her unwillingness, telling her “you are not the only one”.

After the news broke that he sexually harassed a student, a panel was set up to deliberate on the matter and he was relieved of his duties in order not to interfere with the investigations. The lecturer resigned his appointment thereafter.
There are claims that Idiagbon gets girls to become his prey in two ways– making them to fail his course and attaching to him a lot of female project/thesis supervises. “Gist has it that he preys on innocent ladies in the department – exchanging sex for grades. Mind you, he feast on supersize ladies who are way beyond his fist. In addition, this man has no pity and can crush even male students that will not leave their ‘target’. I can only describe Idiagbon as Sex-for-Grade Master (SGM),” said Babajide Roland, former student of the department.
“This lecturer tells his students to their face that they will fail his course (i.e. Syntax), a challenging course to most students. A classmate once told me he wanted to sleep with her in his office. She told him she was engaged and he replied that’s not new; she then lied that she was pregnant and he replied it is even sweeter with pregnancy. Anyway, what happened next my friend didn’t tell me,” Lamented Mrs. Adeyemi L. Adedigba, a former student of Idiagbon.
