A man identified as Aaron Chervenak of Los Angeles married his cellphone in a ceremony at the Little Vegas Chapel, Last month, CBS reported.
"It is now my honor, and my privilege, to pronounce you husband, and smartphone," the officiator said during the ceremony.
The chapel owner Michael Kelly said he's married a lot of strange couples.
Kelly explained that Chervenak wanted to make a point about how dependent people are on their phones.
"People are so connected to their phones and they live with them all the time. They're with them 24 hours a day. They go to sleep with their cellphones. They wake up with their cellphones. Sometimes, it's the first thing that they check," said Kelly.
